Bothwell Diagnostic Center
Sedalia, Missouri
Bothwell Regional Health Center takes pride in providing a surprisingly
large array of medical services for a facility in a town the size
of Sedalia (population 20,339). Without the services they provide,
people in this part of central Missouri would have to travel well
over an hour to Columbia or Kansas City for their healthcare needs.
In response to their customers' needs for outpatient services close
to home, they built the Bothwell Diagnostic Center, which opened in
January 2005.
Phoenix Medical Construction was contracted to provide design and
construction services. The facility provides state-of-the-art medical
technology in a facility designed from the ground up with the comfort
and convenience of the customers in mind. It offers testing services
that include open MRI, a high-speed CT scanner, digital x-ray and
laboratory services. A special feature is the women's health center,
which offers the latest in mammography along with bone density testing
for early detection of osteoporosis.
For this 10,000 square-foot project valued at $2,700,000, Phoenix
retained the services of ACI/Boland Architects of Leawood, Kansas.
